WABO Welding Training and Testing
Prepare, Practice, and Get Certified91°µÍø WABO Training Course

- Length: 10 hours (2 hours instruction and 8 hours supervised practice)

Course Overview
This course prepares experienced welders for WABO certification. You’ll receive a refresher on welding procedures, safety protocols, and WABO-specific groove joint specifications. Our AWE certified welding instructor will demonstrate advanced techniques and provide real-time, hands-on feedback as you practice in a welding booth using the exact materials and machines used during testing.
This course is for experienced welders or those who have previously attempted WABO certification and want more hands-on guidance by AWS certified educators who are also WABO certified welders.

- Interpret a WABO-specific WPS (Welding Procedure Specification)
- Practice using the same equipment and material as the official test
- Receive instructor-guided tips, demos, and troubleshooting in real-time
WABO Testing
Participants must be pre-approved.
- Cost: $675 per person
- $62 check to WABO (Made out to WABO and due on day of test)
- Length: 6.5 hours
- Location: 91°µÍø Welding Lab, Mount Vernon Campus

- SMAW Plate (Stick Welding)
- FCAW Plate (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
- GTAW Plate (TIG Welding)
Registration and Additional Info
Ready to Register? . Space is limited and registration is first come, first served. Be sure to confirm your eligibility before signing up for the testing day.
Students will receive a 100% refund if the college cancels the class or if the student officially withdraws 2 business days prior to the first-class meeting. No refund will be given thereafter and material fees will not be refunded. Exceptions must be approved by the Continuing and Community Education Director.
